  1. Drink plenty of water and make healthy food choices.Start healing your skin from the inside out because this is important.  Drinking plenty of water keeps your skin nourished by hydrating it.By making healthy food choices, you also nourish your body and assist it in ridding it of toxin in the proper way and not through your skin.To keep your skin healthy and assist in the glow of new skin cells, choose foods that are high in anti-oxidants and omega-3 fatty acids.By eating foods high in vitamin E, you can help reduce the appearance of current acne scars.  It is best to choose foods that don’t come in a carry-out bag, or allow a long shelf life. 
  2. Keep your face clean, daily – Daily cleansing of your skin is important, and for some is a no-brainier.  It is even recommended to cleanse twice a day, to wash away the oils and debris that your skin can pick up during sleep and during the day.You should try to use a soap that is mild and formulated for your skin type.  Regularly exfoliating your skin can also help bring a healthy glow as you remove the dead skin cells that can clog your pours.  This can help you to become acne free.
  3. Exercise – Some may think that exercise is bad for your skin as the sweat that you bring to the surface can breed bacteria.  However, the exercise has a two-fold benefit in helping you become acne free.First of all, it can greatly help your skin to reduce stress.Reducing stress in your life can be beneficial to your skin.  Secondly, exercise helps to improve your body’s circulation and bring a endless supply of oxygen to your skin’s surface.  Not to mention, exercise is best for overall health.
  4. Smoking adversely effects the skin and the function of many organs, so don’t smoke if you want clear skin.  It clogs your pours with toxins.So to improve your skin, and extend your life, it is best to stop smoking. 
  5. Stay out of the sun – Although some unhindered sun exposure is good of our skin and bodies, this time should be limited.Be prepared – wear a UV protected sunscreen when you know you’re going to be out in the sun for a prolonged period of time.
